The shaded indigo field with joined polychrome 'beads' forming a hexagonal lattice enclosing diagonal rows of alternately facing boteh, two pairs of vertically facing figures in the lower part of the field, overlaid by a central brick-red and ivory concentric stepped octagonal medallion containing birds and floral motifs, similar ice-blue and buff cusped lozenge medallions above and below, the stepped light blue spandrels with diagonal rows of linked polychrome carnation flowerheads, in a buff border of alternating part cusped medallions divided by feathery leaves between brick-red stepped leafy vine, polychrome linked lozenge and red and white barber-pole stripes, areas of very slight wear, light stain in one corner, rebound selvages
