The figure cast after a model by Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse, Late 19th Century
As a classically draped female with plaited and flower-adorned hair supporting on the palm of each hand a sphere, the right-hand with a clock, the movement with a visible cylinder escapement within an enamel chapter ring, the twin-train movement stamped Y.M. THOMAS, striking on a bell, the other with a barometer, on a stepped yellow and red marble socle, with a black marble base with concave-cut corners
