The circular top with a laurel-cast rim with beaded edge, centred by a 'jewelled' enamel decorated roundel within a broader pictorial scene depicting scènes d'amour in a landscape setting framed by a ribbon and foliate border, surrounded by eleven portrait roundels and alternating with eleven 'jewelled' enamel decorated roundels, the outer band with nine circular and nine shaped panels depicting pastoral scenes, within a foliate-engraved ormolu framework, on a triform baluster-shaped base with a band of roses above three rams' heads and lapet pendants each with a tassle, with three acanthus scrolls each with a seated putto supporting foliate garlands, on a triform shaped base
