The nickel plated ultra prima movement jewelled to the centre with bimetallic balance numbered 1890007, the silvered dial with raised Breguet numerals, outer minute square and large subsidiary seconds square, blued steel hands, in steelium case with flared sides and snap on back, dial and movement signed
42 x 24 mm.

Lot Essay

Steelium is a forerunner of stainless steel, and at the time could not be welded. On this model the flared sides are rivetted to the side of the case. This is undoubtedly an original case, as can be seen by the double chamfered shoulders which are correct for the Brancard model.
