This rifle was built for a member of the Egyptian ruling family. It was sold as part of King Farouk's collection in Cairo in the 1960's

The makers have kindly confirmed that the rifle was completed in 1913. The sight-trap in the pistolgrip contains a spare bead-foresight fitted with a 10 carat rose-cut diamond fold-away moonsight
