One finely painted with a mandarin in court robe seated on a horseshoe-back chair with a tigerskin throw, and the other with a young Chinese lady elaborately coiffed and adorned holding a flower in her left hand leaning on a square side table, both depicted before a window opening onto a flower garden, flanked with draped curtains, wood panelling and a flower vase, some age wear
