Lot Essay

Sir Anthony Cope, 4th Bt. of Hanwell (1632- 1675) was M.P. for Banbury 1660 and for the co. of Oxford 1661-1675. He married his cousin Mary (d. 1714), daughter of Durron, 3rd Lord Gerrard of Gerrard's Bromley but died without issue when the baronetcy passed to his brother, John.
