A GEORGE III SATINWOOD SECRETAIRE-CABINET
Inlaid overall with boxwood and ebonised lines and banded in amaranth, the moulded arched cornice with five urn finials on square plinths, above a pair of geometrically-glazed doors enclosing a green rough silk lined interior with three removable glass shelves, the lower section with a fitted secretaire-drawer enclosing nine variously-sized mahogany-lined small drawers, five pigeon-holes and a green leather-lined writing-surface, above three mahogany-lined long drawers and a waved apron, on splayed bracket feet, with remains of paper label to reverse inscribed in ink '...28', fitted for electricity, restorations, one finial replaced
