A PAIR OF CHINESE-EXPORT REVERSE PAINTINGS-ON-GLASS
Late 18th Century
Each depicting a half length of an elegantly-dressed lady, in one painting holding a rose, in a wooded river landscape with a boat beyond, in an ebonised and parcel-gilt oval frame, one inscribed in ink on an old label to the reverse 'Chinese Dress in Spring' the other 'Chinese Dress in Autumn'
