A pair of Paris slender oviform gilt-ground vases
Circa 1830
With flared necks and waisted stems on square feet, each moulded with scrolling foliage and anthemion handles enclosing partially biscuit baskets of fruit and with female mask terminals enriched with bright and matt gilding, each with a pink-ground oval cartouche with gilt ciselé musical trophies within a gilt band with ciselé anthemion palmettes, between blue enamel-ground bands with gilt foliage above bands of gilt scrolls and lines (one vase with chip to lower parts, wear to gilding, very slight wear to enamel)
