Two or three sets of this kind were created in the early 30s, composed of a desk and commode en suite, such as that made for a Milanese interior in 1931 (illustrated in Hugo la Pietra, Gio Ponti). The use of burr-walnut, cabriole legs and the architectural motifs of arched and square niches are reminiscent of the furniture for the Schepola appartment in Milan in 1929 (illustrated in Lisa Licita Ponti, Gio Ponti).
