The crossbanded moulded rectangular top above three frieze drawers around a kneehole with pierced fret angles, on club legs and pad feet

Probably supplied to the 5th Duke of Bolton (d.1765) for Hackwood,
By descent until sold in 1935 with Hackwood to William Berry, 1st Viscount Camrose (d.1954).
Thence by descent.

Lot Essay

Although they do not have any visible inventory marks, the condition of this and the following lot, and the fact that there are two tables of this model of such different depths, suggests that these are Bolton furniture that have been at Hackwood since the 18th Century.
