Portrait of a young Girl, half-length, in a décolleté dress,with flowers in her hair

The artist started his career as a bookbinder and miniature painter. He subsequently exhibited extensively at the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists. His studio sale was held at Christie's, 15 March 1879.
