The oval shaped top with a moulded edge, inset with a gilt-tooled blue leather writing surface framed by a scrolling cut-brass design, above a panelled frieze decorated all-around with inlaid scrolling foliage, on four square curved legs, stamped to the inside of the top section of one of the legs CAILLAUX, joined by an 'X'-shaped stretcher, with a central mount, on tapering acanthus-cast feet
