A Charles X rosewood, satin birch-lined and marquetry-inlaid lady's necessaire/sofa table

The rectangular twin-flap top inlaid with a central geometric foliate and flower-head lozenge and with double-line inlay to the border, above a pull-out slide with fall-front and a sliding top inlaid with an easel, palette and drawing instruments, the reverse inset with a red, green and finely gilt-tooled leather surface, above a pair of inlaid frieze drawers, each with fall-front, the interior fitted with an inlaid sliding tray, above a further inlaid drawer with inlaid sliding top, the interior fitted with lift-out trays and wells, above a pull-out spring-loaded tray and a further recess drawer, with sliding top and interior fitted with lift-out trays and wells, on lyre-shaped supports and shaped feet joined by a scrolled stretcher inlaid to the centre with a bow and arrow
