A French polychrome-decorated spelter figural clock and barometer
The figure cast after a model by Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse, Circa 1880
As a classically draped female with plaited and flower-adorned hair, supporting a sphere on the palm of each hand, the left hand with a clock, with a white enamel annular chapter ring and visible cylinder escapement, the twin-train movement striking on a bell, the back-plate impressed Y.M. THOMAS, the right-hand with an aneroid barometer with silvered annular ring and visible mechanism, on a hexagonal stepped base
