The cast cast all-over with 'C'-scrolls and foliage, surmounted by a trefoil handle and two seated cherubs, the silvered engraved dial inscribed Webster, Cornhill, London, the single fusee movement with anchor escapement, signed on the back-plate Webster, Cornhill, London, flanked to each side by a cherub, with brass grille sides, on a pair of mermen and mermaid-cast feet, raised on a plinth cast with 'C'-scrolls and with foliate festoons, on dolphin supports

Richard Webster is recorded working at 74 Cornhill, London. He exhibited at the Paris 1855 Exposition Universelle and at the International Exhibition in London in 1862.
