4° (208 x 150mm). Collation: A8 a-v8 x6 y-z8 8 A-S8 T12. Printed in red and black, the canon (quire x) printed on vellum, full-page crucifixion cut and initial opening 'Te igitur' coloured by a 16th-century hand, possibly by Soldner, numerous small woodcuts, ornamental initials, publisher's device on title, full-page printer's device on final verso. (Few initial leaves lightly browned, some light spotting.) Contemporary pigskin over bevelled wooden boards blindstamped with rolls of saints and heads-in-medallion, central panels of the Crucifixion (upper cover) and Resurrection (lower cover), 4 brass cornerpieces on each cover, two fore-edge clasps, green edges. Provenance: Isaac Seidner (inscriptions, one dated 1588, initials and date 1589 stamped on front cover); Johann August Zwerger, 1615 (title inscription); Alexander Balogh (bookplate); Hermann Marx (bookplate); Clifford Rattey (bookplate); C.W.
