A VICTORIAN WHITE-PAINTED AND PARCEL-GILT DRESSING-TABLE
The tiles Minton, circa 1860
, En suite with the preceding lot, decorated overall to simulate bamboo, with a superstructure with tiles depicting water foul, herons, ducks and swans, flanked by panels painted with leaf-sprays, above a rounded rectangular white and grey-veined marble top, two frieze drawers, on ring-turned tapering legs and ceramic castors, the castors stamped 'COPE & COLLISON PATENT'

Lord Desborough, Panshanger, Hertfordshire, sold with the preceding lot Humber and Flynn, London, July 1953, lot 391 (37 guineas).

Some of the contents such as pictures, drawings were sold as part of the Cowper Collection by Lady Desborough, in these Rooms, 16 October, 1953 and a sale of 'valuable Building Materials' from Panshanger was sold by Messrs R.C. Knight & Sons, Norwich, 12,13,14 October 1954.
