The plain rounded sides slightly everted at the rim and supported on a splayed foot, the domed cover surmounted with a ring knop at the top and incised in the centre with four characters, the polished stone of a milky olive-green tone with some brown mottling, russet and white streaking; the dragon-head terminal strongly carved with horns above an arched shaft, the top deeply carved and pierced with scrolling and fruiting melon vines and butterflies, the knop at the back incised with a taiji, the stone of sea-green tone with paler areas, black mottling and white clouding
