The pear-shaped cistern of semi-circular section with ribbed walls enamelled with carp, yellow-tail and crabs among aquatic plants, above a trellis-pattern band with a raised lion-head spout, the neck with a lotus-flower band reserved with goldfish medallions below the pierced back panel with two confronted fish-dragons supporting a shell, the domed cover surmounted by a gilt knop finial, the deep oval basin similarly decorated with a central medallion enclosing fish and crabs within a wide band of other pond creatures enclosed by a lotus and goldfish band at the pie-crust rim, the exterior with birds in flowering trees, all with some enamel frits and rim chips
