Lot Essay

Katsuo Nagatsugu worked for the Maeda family as an inlay specialist in Kaga. This same name existed from the 4th to the 6th generation. The generations are as follows; the 4th who died on 11 September 1727 [the eleventh of Kyoho], the 5th who died on 30 November 1773 [the second of Anei] and the 6th who died on 2 February 1815 [the twelfth of Bunsei].
