painted and gilt with shaped panels of bijin at leisure in an interior and a garden variously playing go and smoking pipes, all on grounds of scattered precious objects, flowers issuing from rockwork, cartouches of crayfish and fans, kiku heads and trailing foliage, the underside with sprays of peonies, prunus and chrysanthemums -- 22in. (56cms) diam.
