in white and overglazed brown hues, the royal pieces shown standing crowned and holding sceptres, the bishops standing robed and wearing cleft mitres, the knights as equestrian officers, the rooks as elephants with castellated howdahs, the pawns as infantrymen, standing to attention with rifles, the kings 3.3/8in. (8.5cm.) high, the pawns 2.3/8in. (6cm.) high
