An oak double dome bureau bookcase, English, late 17th/early 18th century
the upper section with moulded cornice and a pair of bevelled arched mirrored doors enclosing a fitted interior of shelves, pigeon holes and drawers, above two candle stands, the fall front with bookrest and enclosing a fitted interior with leather-lined surface, drawers and pigeon holes, secret compartments and central arched cupboard door with a well below, above two short and two long drawers, on later bun feet, the mirrors replaced -- 39½in. (100cm.) wide, 80in. (206cm.) high, 24in. (61cm.) deep
