painted and gilt with a central crest bearing the motto 'Essayez' flanked by two lions rampant above a cartouche witha salamander among flames, on a ground of parokeets, butterflies and insects among floral clusters within spearhead and chain pattern borders -- 8.5/8in. (22cms) wide, Qianlong, (small rim chips touched up with gilt, minor areas of enamel rubbing).
