Four famille verte plates
with moulded pie crust rims, two painted and gilt with birds and insects amongst peony flowers and leaves, one with two ladies in conversation in a fenced garden, and the fourth with phoenix in flight above peonies and pine, all within borders of cartouches of fish, Buddhistic lions, precious objects and butterflies and insects, on grounds of prunus and lotus -- 9¼in. (23.5cm.) diam, Kangxi, paper label to underside of one 'Cohen & Pearce, London', (all with some restoration to rims).
