A ROMAN AUBERGINE COLOURED GLASS RING
2ND-3RD CENTURY A.D.
The hoop widening at the front into oval form to frame an applied opaque yellow and turquoise eye-shaped bezel, further turquoise dots applied around hoop exterior (some missing), repaired, .5/8 in. (1.5 cm.) across hoop; a large Roman brown glass bracelet with decorative bands around the exterior, two twisted red and yellow bands and a broader yellow band with green and red rectangles, 3 in. (7.6 cm.) inner diam.; a translucent twisted glass rod with looped ring at one end and a flattened disc end, 7.3/8 in. (18.7 cm.) high; a pale green glass spoon, the oval bowl with restored handle; another, amber coloured with cut decoration on bowl and handle, 8¾ in. (22.2 cm.) long, all 1st-4th Century A.D; and an Islamic pipe-shaped clear glass funnel, the bowl with rounded rim, the stem with broken end, silver iridescence, 3¾ in. (9.5 cm.) long, 8th-10th Century A.D. (6)
