A Louis XV purplewood, tulipwood and marquetry bureau de dame
With cartouche panels decorated with meandering floral and foliate stems, the hinged sloping fall with a ribbon-tied floral spray and enclosing a leather-lined interior with an open compartment and drawers and two sliding panels concealing a well, the rear similarly veneered, on angled cabriole legs terminating in later gilt-metal sabots, old restorations, stamped Delorme twice and indistinctly J. M. E.
