With a brêche d'alep marble top, veneered with boxwood bordered cartouche panels with meandering floral and foliate stems, the shaped frieze fitted with a drawer, the fall enclosing a fitted interior with open compartments, drawers and a tooled leather lined writing surface, enclosed by a pair of panelled doors below, on sabots, the marble top repaired, stamped twice N. A. Lapie & J.M.E. stamped twice indistinctly S.N.H.
