Of rectangular outline with ebony banding, the cover inset with an incised mother-of-pearl cartouche with scroll below, with conforming escutcheon above secret drawer to the front, the interior with lift-out tray, fitted with silver-mouted cut glass bottles and boxes, the foliate incised mounts with central monograms and with hallmarks for London 1859/60
