An Art Deco Novelty multi Gem-set Clip

Details
An Art Deco Novelty multi Gem-set Clip
Modelled as a snake's head, the geometric ajouré head is set with circular-cut diamonds (one deficient), calibré-cut emerald eyes and citrine eye brows (one deficient), its jaws springinging open to contain a diamond-set sphere, circa 1925, length 4.5 cm., fitted leather and tooled case by Lacloche Freres
Although the piece is not signed, it would appear that the clip has been replaced and therefore the Lacloche marks may have been lost at this time. The vendor's grandmother lived in Paris during the 1910s and 1920s and is known to have patronised many of the famous jewellery houses.
