Three albums with a total of approx. 175 photographs, albumen and gelatin silver prints, sizes from 4 x 6 in. to 11 x 14 in. or the reverse, the former titled and numbered on printed labels on mounts, half maroon morocco and blue cloth-backed boards (spines lacking or damaged, two part disbound and bindings heavily worn), two titled on front covers, oblong 4to. and oblong folio. (3)

Lot Essay

Comprising a portrait of H.H. the Maharaja Holkar, interior views of the new palace 'Inderbhawan', several of Lalbagh palace, five images of the Great Elephant including one of him saluting, the Marharaja's Tazia, 'Shikaree elephants at Andheri bagh', two waterfall scenes identified as Mehdikund and Patalpani, railway and viaduct views, and a two-part panoramic view titled Nerbudda.
