QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER MARK AND FOUR-CHARACTER CYCLICAL DATE, BINWU YEAR, CORRESPONDING TO A.D. 1786 AND OF THE PERIOD

The two vases of upright elongated oval shape each rising from a separate circular foot, decorated with animal mask-handles, elaborately embraced around the exterior with gilt dragons and phoenix in relief against a lotus-scroll cloisonn and gilt-ground, the detachable double socle similarly decorated and enamelled, standing on eight ruyi feet
