AN AMERICAN SILVER TEA KETTLE ON STAND
Maker's mark of Jones, Ball & Co., Boston, 1852
Pear-shaped, engraved with coat-of-arms, helm and coronet, and Chambers, the fluted shoulder flat-chased with pendant acanthus, with rusticated vine spout, the hinged raised fluted cover with foliate decoration and topped with seated cherub finial, with swing part foliate handle with fruited grapevine join, on four foliate scroll supported, twice chained, circular stand (with replaced lamp), kettle on stand over swing handle--16in. (40.6cm.) high, gross weight 59.5oz.
