A GEORGE III SILVER TEA URN
Maker's mark of Hester Bateman, London, 1782
Vase form, on square pedestal base, raised on four ball supports, with bright-cut and wrigglework engraving, with applied beaded moldings, the spout with ivory handle, the body engraved with crest in oval, enclosed by quatrefoils and rays, above with husk and paterae festoon, the shoulder with varying flowerheads within reeded ground, with two upswept handles, the spool form and domed cover topped by urn finial--14in. (36.8cm.) high, gross weight 35oz.
