According to the 1971 sale catalogue, these chairs appeared in three film classics: Laura (1944), the Oscar-winning mystery starring Gene Tierney and Dana Andrews; Daddy Long Legs (1955), a musical starring Fred Astaire, and Myra Breckenridge (1970) with Rachael Welch and Mae West. A production still showing one of the chairs with Actor Tyrone Power was reproduced in the catalogue.
