RARE FIRST EDITION "of one of the standard demonologies of the 17th century, an encyclopedic work exposing, classifying and illustrating the practices of witchcraft. Guazzo, a friar of the Brethren of St. Ambrose ad Nemus and St. Barnabas, compiled the work from the writings of 322 authorities, particularly Martin Del Rio and Nicolas Remy" (Norman).
