A PAIR OF HUANGHUALI TAPERED ROUND-CORNER CABINETS, YUANJIAOGUI

The slightly protruding top with rounded edge supported on tapered corner posts of round section, enclosing the single panels of the pair of tall doors opening from the removable central stile, the circular baitong lockplate set flush with the door panels, the interior fitted with two shelves, the lower set with a pair of drawers, and a hidden compartment behind the horizontal panel above the plain apron with apron-head spandrels, baitong fittings

Tapered cabinets with circular lockplates are unusual, as such lockplates are more commonly found on square-cornered compound wardrobes
