Fashioned from thin silver sheet, the rim of the rounded bowl rising to a peak opposite the slender arched handle stamped with single and clustered fish roe pattern below a short line and terminating in a bud-shaped terminal; together with a pair of gilt-bronze appliques cast in relief with a foliate openwork design, Ming dynasty; and a gold chrysanthemum cup, its lobed sides decorated with flowers or plants of the twelve months reserved on a ring-punched ground above a band of petals, with a branch-form handle
