A CLOISONN ENAMEL SHRINE
18th Century
Of rectangular form, raised on a reticulated, waisted base, attached to a waisted rectangular plinth, two sides left open and the other two pierced with foliate meander above and below a cloisonn panel, the canted corners incised with dragons, all below a flared cornice pierced with lotus scroll surrounding an arched canopy surmounted by a ribbon-tied jar decorated with cracked-ice pattern, the interior set with a removable small gilt-bronze figure of a seated bodhisattva backed by a mandorla and raised on a wood stand
