FIRST EDITION. The above "exhibits Euler's numerous discoveries in the theory of both ordinary and partial differential equations, which were especially useful in mechanics" (DSB). Together with the Introductio in analysin infinitorum and the Institutiones calculi differentialis it forms Euler's trilogy on mathematical analyis.
