A MEISSEN ORMOLU-MOUNTED MAY-FLOWER ENCRUSTED BALUSTER VASE
Circa 1750, the mounts French and of similar date
Finely painted in the manner of Franois Boucher with panels of amorous couples in gardens reserved within moulded lobed cartouches against the ground encrusted with yellow-centered mayflower blossoms, the ormolu mount of rich foliate rocaille scrolls encircling the mouth, forming arched handles extending down the side of the vase and encircling the foot
