A PAIR OF MEISSEN FOOTED BASKETS (FRUCHTKORB)
Circa 1770, blue crossed swords and dot marks, Pressmarke H twice to one
Each of reticulated serpentine form with branch handles extending along the side of the basket and terminating in branch feet, the sides with pierced trellis panels entwined with flowering vine and centering a rocaille-moulded cartouche painted with a landscape vignette of birds in branches, the interior painted with a similar vignette and with scattered insects
