'From the sale of articles from the Bute Collection at Mount Stuart House, home of the Crichton-Stuart family, Marquesses of Bute'
Please note that the family had extensive links with India. Lord Canning was appointed Viceroy of India in 1855. His wife, Lady Charlotte Canning, a member of the Crichton-Stuart family, died of a fever in India in 1861.
