A Persian lacquer qalamdan
painted and gilt with mythological scenes of seated men, winged angels, ladies and dervishes before windows within scrolling gilt borders, the sides with portrait medallions flanking scenes of lovers and kneeling figures with a ruler, the corners with figures and horses in landscapes -- 9.in (22.9cm) long, signed and dated 1263 AH, (slight chips and damages).
