A Chinese blue and white bowl
painted to the centre with a stylised shou character within a border of fish and a band of boats and retreats in a river landscape scene, the exterior with dragons chasing flaming pearls amongst cloud scrolls and above foaming waves; and another bowl with a central dragon roundel, the exterior with further dragons on a cloud scroll ground -- both 7¼in. (18.5cm.) diam, 16th Century, (fritting, minor restoration to rim of one).
