A mid-19th Century fully rigged model of a Royal Naval 12-gun Brig
with masts, yards with hand holds and foot ropes, standing and running rigging, some probably contemporary, and deck details including anchors, catheads, windlass under the foredeck, belaying rails and pins, balustrading , companionways, hatches, decklights, twelve bronze guns mounted in carriages, panelled bulwarks and other details. The hull, carved from yellow pine, has glazed stern windows, quarter cabin windows, sliding storm shutters on side windows, lower deck lights, and is finished in black and white (some restoration) and mounted on a teak stand with bronze mounts -- 43 x 57in.
