A fine and detailed 1:100 scale waterline display model of the Tyne Improvement Tug J.C. Stevenson, originally built by Hepple & Co., 1883
and modelled by C.G. Hooper, with mast and rigging, anchor, winch, ventilators, companionways, bridge with helm, binnacle, railings with spray curtains, stayed funnel with safety valve extension pipe, aft glazed saloon with interior seating and tables and ship's boat with thwarts and oars in davits and other details, the hull finished in green, black, grey and white and mounted on two turned brass columns -- 6¼ x 12in. (16 x 30.5cm.). Display base and mahogany glazed case.
