Lot Essay

Margaret Felkin was an English watercolourist who travelled in Asia. She is listed as having exhibited two works at the Royal Academy, London in 1919 (Lotus Lilies, Singapore), and in 1932 (A Summer Bunch). The broad handling, colouring and textured paper imitating canvas weave are typical of pre-war English artists
